Divergence in macro trends and in monetary policy in advanced economies was a dominant driver of rates and currencies in emerging markets in 2014. Diverging macroeconomic developments were reflected in different monetary policy actions in 2014, with the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of Japan (BOJ) moving in the opposite direction of the U.S. Federal Reserve. Costa Rica : evolución económica durante 2010 y perspectivas para 2011

En 2010 el PIB real de Costa Rica creció 4,2%, después de haberse contraído en 2009 (-1,3%). Esta recuperación está sustentada en el dinamismo de las exportaciones y la expansión moderada del consumo y de la inversión bruta. El PIB por habitante aumentó 2,9%, con lo que revirtió la caída registrada en 2009 (2,6%). La inflación finalizó el año en 5,8%, dentro de los límites anunciados por el Banco Central a inicios del año. La tasa de desempleo abierto se recuperó (7,3%, en comparación con el 8,4% de 2009).
