En un contexto de persistentes conflictos geopolíticos y altas tasas de interés, en 2023 se registró, por segundo año consecutivo, una disminución de los flujos globales de inversión extranjera directa (IED). Esta dinámica repercutió en América Latina y el Caribe y en 2023 no fue posible mantener los altos niveles de entradas de IED registrados en 2022. La región recibió 184.304 millones de dólares, un valor un 9,9% inferior al año anterior.
