Reunión Interregional del Grupo de Expertos “Priorizando la igualdad en la Agenda 2030”
Esta Reunión Interregional del Grupo de Expertos marca el cierre del proyecto del 9o tramo de la Cuenta de Desarrollo de las Naciones Unidas "Promoting Equality: Strengthening the Capacity of Select Developing Countries to Design and Implement Equality-oriented Public Policies and Programmes", cuyo objetivo es mejorar la conciencia de las diferentes dimensiones de la desigualdad, fortaleciendo las capacidades de los países para analizar y medir la desigualdad, así como promover la conceptualización, el diseño y la implementación de políticas públicas multidisciplinarias orientadas hacia una mayor igualdad socioeconómica.
De acuerdo con el proyecto de la Cuenta para el Desarrollo, el principal objetivo de esta Reunión Interregional del Grupo de Expertos es promover la igualdad como motor clave de la Agenda 2030. Se espera que los debates contribuyan a promover y mantener un enfoque multisectorial al trabajo analítico y de políticas sobre la desigualdad en el marco de la Agenda 2030 realizado por las Naciones Unidas.
