This 2021 version of the seminar focuses primarily on the topics of the 2025 SNA update and the future of economic statistics, based on information on the status of the guidelines and the global consultation on topics such as welfare and sustainability, and the informal economy.

The program of this high-level meeting focuses on the topics of updating the SNA 2025 and the future of economic statistics based on reporting the status of the guidelines and the global consultation on topics such as well-being and sustainability, and the informal economy.  Additionally, there is an opportunity to present new projects and results in terms of Supply Utilization Tables and Input-Output tables, as well as the incorporation of SDMX in the dissemination of statistical data applied to economic statistics. The activities of the working groups of the Statistical Conference of the Americas (SCA) and the development progress of the International Comparison Program (ICP) in the 2021 cycle will also be reviewed. Finally, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on economic statistics cannot be omitted, therefore a session to review and share experiences with the actions taken to address this situation will be presented.
