The study also highlights the importance of building water and sanitation utilities' technical, operational, policy-based and forward-planning capacities. The present challenge is therefore to devise ways of enhancing the sector's institutional capacities, not only for the application of circular economy principles in water management in the region but also for meeting the challenges associated with the current innovations being driven by artificial intelligence and big data solutions. Doing so will make it possible to leverage activities and projects that will make a direct contribu…

Abstract
Guyana depends on imported fuel to meet the needs of its transport sector. In recent years, pricesof derivatives of petroleum have increased significantly, further widening the current account
deficit. In 2005, fuel accounted for 29% of the value of imports of the country.
The technology of using ethanol mixed with gasoline in four-stroke cycle engines is wellknown,
and, does not require any changes in vehicles for levels of ethanol in the mixture up to
10%. This technology is used in many countries with vehicle fleets, similar to those of Guyana.
The sugarcane industry of Guyana cons…

Trinidad and Tobago is heavily dependent on its oil and gas sector to support its economy and society. However, given the challenge of climate change, small economies of scale, and increased economic, social and environmental vulnerability, strategies are needed to ensure long-term sustainable development. A key aspect to be considered is the greater potential for the implementation of energy efficiency measurements, which would allow for energy security in the long term, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and increased revenue and cost savings.
In this report, the methodology of the Ener…

Although the notion of a circular economy (CE) has been conceived and debated for more than half a century
(Henrysson and Nuur, 2021), it has gained considerable popularity in the lexicon of economists, ecologists and
other development thinkers over the past two decades. The increasing evidence of the existential threat of
human-induced climate change and the related imperatives of decarbonizing the global economy, have led to greater focus on strategies for a more sustainable use of the natural and environmental resource base.…
