Conference of the Parties
The Conference of the Parties is the Escazú Agreement's chief deliberative and decision-making body. It comprises all State Parties with the significant participation of the public. Among others, it shall examine and promote the implementation of the Agreement.
It is governed by its rules of procedure, adopted at its first meeting.

Conferencia de las Partes
La Conferencia de las Partes es el máximo órgano deliberativo y de decisión del Acuerdo de Escazú. Está compuesta por todos los Estados Partes y cuenta con la significativa participación del público. Entre sus funciones está examinar y fomentar la aplicación y efectividad del Acuerdo.
Se rige por sus reglas de procedimiento, adoptadas en su primera reunión.

The Presiding Officers of the Escazú Agreement is composed of a Chair and four Vice-Chairs, elected by the Conference of the Parties. It is also composed of an elected representative of the public, with voice but without vote.
