Planning for development

Established in 1975 as a Technical Committee pursuant to ECLAC resolution 340(AC.66), adopted at the eighth extraordinary session of the Committee of the Whole of ECLAC, the Council acts as the senior guiding body for the activities of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES) and serves as an advisory body with respect to the implementation of the work programmes of ILPES and the evaluation of their results.

    Nineteenth meeting of the Regional Council for Planning of ILPES

    The Regional Council for Planning is a subsidiary body of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and governs the activities of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES). The member States of the Institute are represented at the meetings of the Council by their ministers or heads of planning. The agreements of the Council are set forth in resolutions, which are ratified by ECLAC at its biennial sessions.

    Reunión virtual - El Consejo Regional de Planificación (CRP) es el órgano subsidiario intergubernamental de orientación de las actividades del Instituto Latinoamericano y del Caribe de Planificación Económica y Social (ILPES). En sus Reuniones participan los Ministros o Jefes de Planificación de los Estados miembros del Instituto. Sus acuerdos se consignan en resoluciones que se ratifican en los períodos de sesiones de la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL).
