National Office, Argentina
Located in Buenos Aires, the ECLAC office in Argentina was created in December 1973 by virtue of a cooperation agreement between the Office of the Executive Secretary of ECLAC and the Government of Argentina. The new office started work in 1974. In March 2002, senior cabinet members of the Office of the President of Argentina and the Deputy Executive Secretary of ECLAC signed a new Cooperation Agreement between the Commission and the Government of Argentina.

The Thirteenth meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC will take place in Santiago, from November 25 to 27, 2025.
Twelfth Session of UN-GGIM: Americas
The meeting allowed for the presentation of the progress made during the 2021–2025 management period, the approval of the new Regional Strategic Plan 2025–2029, and the renewal of the Board of Directors, consolidating a space for exchange and regional cooperation around good practices and statistical initiatives.

CEPAL capacita a funcionarios de la Región Centro de la Argentina en gobierno digital e inteligente
Funcionarios de los ministerios de modernización de las provincias de Entre Ríos, Córdoba y Santa Fe, participaron de la fase presencial del curso “Desde el gobierno digital hacia un gobierno inteligente”, impartido por la CEPAL, a través del Instituto Latinoamericano de Planificación Económica y Social (ILPES) y con el apoyo de la Oficina en Argentina.

ECLAC Trained Provincial Officials from Argentina in Investment and Export Promotion in a Program Organized by CFI
As part of its cooperation with the Federal Investment Council (CFI), ECLAC delivered three modules in the Provincial Investment and Export Promotion Program, a course aimed at more than 80 officials from Argentine provinces. This initiative is part of the activities the United Nations regional commission is promoting to strengthen the institutional capacities of countries and their territories in matters of productive development and economic governance.
