La primera reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes tendrá lugar entre el 20 y 22 de abril de 2022 en la sede de la CEPAL en Santiago. The Escazú Agreement one of the four environmental treaties highlighted by the United Nations Secretary-General in 2019 in support of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development. In the framework of the general debate of the seventy-fourth session of the General Assembly, a specific space will be devoted for authorities of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean to sign and/or ratify the Escazú Agreement at the highest level possible at 10 a.m. on 26 September 2019 in the Treaty Event Area (“Kuwaiti boat”) in the General Assembly building.…
