This study investigates the role that information and communication technologies (ICT) and knowledge management (KM) are playing in supporting sustainable development across islands in these countries. Las causas externas de muerte y su efecto sobre la esperanza de vida en las ciudades latinoamericanas: el ejemplo de Chile y el Ecuador, 2000-2010

Se analiza la carga antagónica en la ciudad latinoamericana entre su condición claramente aventajada en términos de desarrollo nacional y su alta concentración de mortalidad por causas externas. Chile y el Ecuador son ejemplos para identificar y dar seguimiento a los patrones de causas de muerte externas en sus ciudades en 2000-2010 con datos del sistema de registros vitales de ambos países.
