With its well-established experience in dealing with disasters, ECLAC Caribbean has helped strengthen the capacity to assess damage and losses due to disasters of over 100 government and regional officials in several regions of Peru. Over the past few months, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), with its well-established experience in dealing with natural disasters, has helped strengthen the capacity of CENEPRED officers, and of national and regional government officials to plan, prepare and respond to such events.
