A workshop on Economic Analysis Using Input-Output Matrices was held from August 23 to 25, 2017 in Quito, Ecuador. The workshop reviewed fundamental methods in the analysis of input-output matrices and integrated practical examples to support the work of public officials in the countries of the Andean Community (CAN). Participants in the workshop included public officials from central banks and statistical institutes of the countries of the Andean Community, as well as officials from various institutions in Ecuador (Central Bank of Ecuador, Ministry of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Tourism, National Secretariat of Planning, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Industry and Productivity, Banking and Internal Revenue Service). Officials from the CAN, the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) also participated.
