The Agricultural Development and Climate Change Unit (UDACC) possesses a broad set of time series that allow for the analysis of the economic impact of climate change scenarios might have on areas of interest for the subregion including agriculture, food security, nutritional security, water, hydroelectricity, biodiversity, health, and extreme events, among others. Julie Lennox is the Chief of the Agriculture Unit and Focal Point of Climate Change in ECLAC’s subregional headquarters in Mexico. She coordinates “The Economics of Climate Change in Central America and the Dominican Republic” initiative which works with the fiscal, agriculture, health, environment, and energy sectors and institutions of SICA countries.
