Negotiating Committee
By means of the Santiago Decision, adopted in November 2014, the signatory countries of the Declaration commenced negotiations on the regional instrument on rights of access to information, participation and justice in environmental matters. To this end, they created a negotiating committee composed by all signatory countries with significant participation by the public in accordance with the provisions and modalities set forth in the Plan of Action. Furthermore, they appointed Presiding Officers to coordinate the negotiations of the regional instrument.
