The seventh meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC was held in Santiago from November 5 to 7, 2013.

Séptima reunión de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas (CEA).

 

The provisional agenda of the seventh meeting of the Statistical Conference of the Americas of ECLAC included the examination of the most relevant issues for statistical development in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the institutional strengthening of national statistical systems and offices, human resource development, the promotion of statistical and methodological capacities, and international and regional cooperation in these areas.

During the Conference’s closing session, Ecuador took over as Chair of the Statistical Conference of the Americas for the 2014-2015 period. The new Executive Committee is also made up of Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Spain and Venezuela.
