This seminar presented the methodology followed to assemble the 2005 South American Input Output Table (IOT), and the 2005 and 2011 versions of the Andean Community subregional IOT, as well as that of each corresponding national IOT. Likewise, ECLAC presented a set of results obtained from the Andean Community subregional IOT, as well as methodological details that allow for the use of the South American and Andean Community IOTs as tools for economic analysis. In addition, the seminar included presenations by the National Insitute of Statistics and Informatics and the Ministries of Foreign Trade and Tourism and Production of Peru.
The seminar was held at the headquarters of the Andean Community with the participation of officials of the Andean Community Secretariat, Andean Parliament, as well as the authorities of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics of Peru, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, the Ministry of Production, and representatives of the National Society of Industries.
