The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley, visited today the central headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, Chile, where he was received by its Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will present on Thursday, December 14 its Preliminary Overview of the Economies of Latin America and the Caribbean 2017, in which it will update its growth estimates for the region’s countries in the present year and projections for 2018. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) has revised downward its economic growth projection for the region in 2015, forecasting a 1.0% increase in the regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the United Nations organization said today in a press release.
