The COVID-19 pandemic has caused widespread closure of schools and disruption of education systems worldwide, requiring unprecedented adaptation to ensure learning continuity for students. With populations ageing and an increasing number of people suffering from non-communicable diseases, the number of people in the Caribbean living with some form of disability is expected to rise in coming years. The prevalence of disability could increase by 30 to 40% between 2015 and 2050.
