2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
In 2015, the 193 Member States of the United Nations approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as today's path towards a new paradigm of development in which people, the planet, prosperity, peace and alliances take a central role. The 2030 Agenda has 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at its heart, which guide the work of the United Nations until the year 2030. The eradication of poverty and the reduction of inequalities - priorities for Latin America and the Caribbean - are central themes in this agenda that seeks “leaving no one behind”.
