En este trabajo se analizan las brechas en el acceso a los servicios de salud en México para la población de zonas rurales (localidades con menos de 15.000 habitantes) en las últimas décadas (hasta 2018), en contextos de nueva ruralidad, persistencia de alto nivel de pobreza y gran desigualdad, y un régimen de bienestar dual que históricamente ha desprotegido a la mayor parte de esta población.
