Also during the two-day event, presenters will unveil the document “Breaking the statistical silence to achieve gender equality by 2030,” as a joint contribution by the Regional Conference on Women and the Statistical Conference of the Americas for strengthening the production of information on gender inequalities. Separately, participants will report on follow-up to regional implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In the run-up to the meeting, on Tuesday, August 23, a seminar will be inaugurated on Strengthening environment, climate change and disaster information in the Caribbean (organized by ECLAC in collaboration with PARIS21).
