Director Quarless was speaking in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at a meeting of Caribbean SIDS, where representatives from 16 countries are assessing progress on sustainable development and planning for the Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States in 2024.
It is necessary to redouble efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6, 7, 9 and 11, representatives asserted at the meeting being held at ECLAC’s headquarters in Santiago, Chile.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 20 in the framework of the first in-person meeting of the Parliamentary Observatory on Climate Change and Just Transition (OPCC).
