The aim of the seminar is to discuss the role of official statistics, especially, the National Statistical Offices, as a tool to highlight gender biases in the regional impact of the pandemic, highlighting its effects on the labor market, economic autonomy and the sexual division of labor. It is proposed to analyze the role of official statistics, and particularly dissemination strategies as a positioning tool for the gender approach of official statistics to strengthen the evidence base necessary for the elaboration of public policies. It is expected to identify recent experiences, lessons learned and challenges found for the generation and dissemination of statistics with a differential and intersectional approach.
