The fourteenth meeting of the Executive Committee represented a strategic milestone for the regional statistical community, taking place in a key year for defining the Sustainable Development Agenda.
The committee made progress in consolidating the proposed Strategic Plan 2015-2025, designed to modernize and strengthen the National Statistical Systems of Latin America and the Caribbean over the next decade. The technical mechanisms necessary for monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators were also discussed, reaffirming the importance of producing high-quality data to guide public policy.
This meeting reaffirmed the commitment of member countries to consolidate robust, transparent, and independent official statistics as a fundamental basis for the region's sustainable development.
