This Conference, organized by ECLAC every three years in accordance with the Regional Plan of Action agreed by the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean in 1977 in Havana, Cuba, is the most important event in the region for analyzing policies aimed at stimulating the full participation of women in the development of their countries.
