Foresight

Foresight studies are a discipline that provides theoretical foundations, methods and useful tools for building the future of long-term planning for development. The future is not predetermined, but is subject to many changes and possible routes, which must be understood in order to guide current activities. Institutional capacities of foresight, evaluation and interpretation of possible futures are therefore essential.
