Ongoing challenges to ports: the increasing size of container ships

This FAL Bulletin examines the dynamics of the increase in vessel size worldwide and the factors that explain it, and subsequently provides projections regarding the arrival of the largest ships currently in service to South American shores with a view to facilitating port planning.
