La cooperación Sur-Sur (CSS) es fundamental para la cooperación internacional y el progreso hacia la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible. A mitad del camino hacia 2030, varios objetivos aún no se han alcanzado debido a diversos conflictos, el cambio climático y retrocesos económicos y humanos, lo que resalta la necesidad de fortalecer la cuantificación de los flujos de cooperación Sur-Sur.

The Gender Affairs Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) participated in “Panel 3: Multi-stakeholder Cooperation: Opportunities for New Public-Private Partnerships” within the framework of the First Session of the Regional Conference on South-South Cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event took place at the ECLAC headquarters in Santiago, Chile, on May 31, 2023.

Al finalizar la Quinta Reunión del Foro de los países de América Latina y el Caribe sobre el Desarrollo Sostenible, representantes de la región se comprometieron a redoblar esfuerzos para implementar efectivamente la Agenda 2030 y concluyeron que la erradicación de la pobreza en todas sus formas es el mayor desafío actual y constituye un requisito indispensable para el desarrollo sostenible.
