Se propone un marco metodológico para estudiar brechas de acceso a la salud en localidades rurales, con la construcción de tres indicadores de base: el acceso potencial, el acceso efectivo y el acceso efectivo y de calidad a la salud en las localidades rurales en comparación con las urbanas. La fuente de información fue la Encuesta Nacional de Ingreso y Gasto de los Hogares (ENIGH), levantada por el INEGI en México.
