In an international context of reduced flows and strong competition, national policies must attract FDI that contributes to creating local capacities and fostering sustainable development, ECLAC says in its annual report.
The document “Productive Links in North America” analyzes trade and investment between the three nations, without addressing migratory flows, although it recognizes their importance in terms of development.
In the framework of her visit to Germany, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, spoke at the Latin America-Caribbean Conference and met with authorities from several countries.
