Alicia Bárcena, Executive Secretary of the United Nations regional commission, made an official visit to Lima today, where she met with President Pedro Castillo and members of his Cabinet.
In the framework of its 38th session, ECLAC presented a document that analyzes the situation of this population in the countries of Central America and Mexico.
"Let us spare no effort to ensure that policies, programmes, guidelines and 21st century technologies are accessible to persons with disabilities", the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says in his message.
