ECLAC presented a report on the potential economic costs of climate change in the Caribbean subregion by 2050 if mitigation and adaptation actions are not taken.
The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) Subregional Headquarters for the Caribbean is convening a combined Regional Expert Group Meeting on “Knowledge Management in the Public Sector”; and “Knowledge Strategies for Development: Knowledge Networks”, which will be held at its Port of Spain Office from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 August 2011.
One of the studies tackles the barriers that public monopolies impose on climate change policy in Mexico. The second study analyses the use of energy accounts as a means of assessing sectoral efficiency in Central America.
