On May 23-27, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) will hold in Mexico City its thirty-sixth session, the most important biannual meeting of this United Nations organization, whose mandate is to contribute to the region’s economic, social and environmental development.

The entire meeting will be broadcast live via the Web site created for this occasion: ://periododesesiones.cepal.org/36/en, which also provides general information about the event, the detailed programme, reference documents and all the news.
