In the area of Social Development, ECLAC Caribbean engages in three thematic areas, namely: social development; gender; and population affairs. ECLAC Caribbean seeks to achieve a better understanding among member states of how to formulate and implement social policies and programmes, and how to promote evidence based policy making and programming within the Caribbean.

National capacity building workshops in cost benefit analysis - St Lucia
The overall objective of the training is to strengthen the skills level of policymakers and technical officers of the Government of Saint Lucia in cost-benefit analysis which will enhance their ability to design and implement data-informed policies and strategies for accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building a resilient economy.
Skill WAVE: Workshop for Action, Vision and Entrepreneurship - Grenada
ECLAC Caribbean will be hosting a series of capacity building workshops, meant to build entrepreneurship skills among target groups in each country. The workshops should provide tools necessary to enhance entrepreneurship and related business activities, specifically targeted toward youth and female entrepreneurs.

Caribbean Regional Breakout Session at the ECOSOC Youth Forum
The Caribbean Regional Breakout Session will provide a space to present the results of the youth regional preparatory consultations and local dialogues in the framework of the 14th ECOSOC Youth Forum and the 8th Forum of LAC Countries on Sustainable Development, providing an opportunity to promote and strengthen the dialogue with Member States and UN agencies, for a meaningful and inclusive children, youth and adolescent (CYA) participation in the acceleration of action towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
