Universal recognition of the human right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: Presentation of the UN General Assembly Resolution and its implications for public policy

Event

Teaser

The event aims to present and analyse the importance of the Resolution A/RES/76/300 adopted last 28 July by the United Nations General Assembly on "The human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment", presented by Costa Rica, Slovenia, Maldives, Morocco, and Switzerland, with the support of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This text recognises, for the first time worldwide, a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment as a Human Right. The event will address how this decision of the General Assembly can contribute to catalyse the adoption and effective implementation of stronger and more homogeneous global environmental regulations and, above all, actions in favour of our planet.
