The thirty-third meeting of the Presiding Officers of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean was held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 9 to 12 October, 2001 and was opened to all member countries of the Conference.

Within the framework of this meeting, on 10 and 11 October 2001 (2016?) a high-level seminar was held on gender mainstreaming in public policies in Latin America and the Caribbean. The seminar was structured around four panels which focused on public policies aimed at ensuring equality between men and women, gender mainstreaming in the judicial system and human rights, gender mainstreaming in the health care system, and theoretical and methodological challenges for gender mainstreaming in the region's development policies.

REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS
Will begin on Tuesday October 9th at 8:30 a.m. in the hall outside the conference room.

Simultaneous interpretation in Spanish and English will be provided.
