The ninth meeting of the Executive Committee will be concerned with follow-up to the implementation of the biennial programme of regional and international cooperation activities, 2009- 2011, resolution 6 (V) adopted by the Statistical Conference of the Americas at its fifth meeting. In particular, at its ninth meeting, the Executive Committee will have a mandate to review and approve the programmes of work of the working groups for the period 2010-2011. It will also have the opportunity to review forthcoming goals and tasks related to major international statistical cooperation activities, such as the 2011 round of the International Comparison Programme, the project on the directory of businesses and establishments, and the database for integrated presentation of statistical activities conducted by international bodies and organizations and the member countries of the Conference. Lastly, the Executive Committee will discuss the priorities of the Conference to be brought before ECLAC at its thirty-third session, consider programmes of action and identify new issues of statistical interest.
