Eleventh Session of UN-GGIM: Americas

The Eleventh Session of the United Nations Regional Committee on Global Geospatial Information Management for the Americas (UN-GGIM: Americas) will be held on October 7, 2024 in Mexico City. Previously, on September 25 and 26, 2 virtual sessions will be held as part of this Eleventh Meeting.

The eleventh Session of the United Nations Regional Committee on Global Geospatial Information Management for the Americas (UN-GGIM: Americas), will be held on October 7, 2024 in Mexico City, at the headquarters of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) of Mexico.

On this occasion, progress in the execution of the work agenda of the Regional Committee will be reviewed, taking advantage of the opportunity to share experiences and good practices in the management of geospatial information. Initiatives and opportunities for cooperation between countries and at the regional level will also be examined.

Following the Eleventh Session of UN-GGIM: Americas, participants will be able to join the Seventh High-level Forum on United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management: Accelerating Implementation: Achieving Resilience, to be held between 8 and 10 October 2024. The Forum is organized by the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) in collaboration with the Government of Mexico through INEGI, and will continue high-level discussions on global geospatial information management, promoting a comprehensive dialogue among Member States, international organizations and stakeholders.
