ECLAC-Germany Cooperation

Since 1980, the Strategic Alliance between the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of Germany has aimed at contributing to sustainable development by closing social, economic, and environmental development gaps, as well as contributing to regional integration in Latin America and the Caribbean. Over the years both partners increased their efforts towards the common goal by consolidating their cooperation in a Strategic Alliance in late 2003.
