Creates and processes hierarchical databases from censuses, surveys, vital statistics and other sources for local, regional, and national analyses; produces thematic maps.

CAN2000 is a modernized and updated version of the Competitive Analysis of Nations (CAN) data bases and analytical softwares ECLAC has produced since the early 1990s. It is available for distribution since November 1st, 2000.
