Public administration
The State carries out its functions through activities within its remit, such as public investment, public programmes, provision of public services, regulation of strategic sectors, promotion of and investment in innovation, the provision of direction for the economy through incentives or granting of commercial licences and permits, as well as oversight of companies’ compliance with regulations. All of these activities, which are carried out through public administration, have the primary goal of achieving sustainable socioeconomic development.

National training course in project proposal preparation and effective project implementation - St. Lucia
The overall objective of the training course is to strengthen the skills level of policymakers and technical staff of the Government of Saint Lucia in project proposal preparation and effective project implementation. The course will enhance institutional capacity in project proposal development and implementation, ensuring effective and efficient project delivery, with the ultimate purpose of improving the skills and processes of project proposal preparation and implementation within organisations, leading to higher project success rates.

Nineteenth meeting of the Regional Council for Planning of ILPES
The Regional Council for Planning is a subsidiary body of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and governs the activities of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES). The member States of the Institute are represented at the meetings of the Council by their ministers or heads of planning. The agreements of the Council are set forth in resolutions, which are ratified by ECLAC at its biennial sessions.
