El gobierno corporativo se refiere al sistema de normas, prácticas y procesos mediante los cuales se dirige y gestiona una empresa. Cubre las relaciones entre la dirección de una empresa, su consejo de administración, los accionistas y otras partes interesadas. Proporciona el logro de la estrategia de la empresa en un marco de transparencia, responsabilidad y equidad. Ayuda a establecer un equilibrio de poder y responsabilidades entre las distintas partes interesadas, previene los conflictos de intereses y promueve un comportamiento ético en la toma de decisiones.
