Institutional framework for statistics
Official statistics are a valuable public good, necessary for evidence-based decision-making and accountability in public management. The Statistics Division of ECLAC encourages the production and dissemination of statistics in full compliance with the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, through the consolidation of national statistical systems, the strengthening of legal frameworks and capacity-building to respond effectively to the challenges of modernization.
