Violence against women

Gender-based violence against women and girls refers to all discrimination and unequal use of power that threatens their physical, sexual or psychological integrity, in public as well as in private life. Its most extreme expression is feminicide or femicide and includes harmful practices such as child marriages and early unions, which have a severe impact on adolescents and girls.
