Regional integration and cooperation
Regional integration has always been an integral part of ECLAC’s work, and together with its partners and clients, ECLAC helps to promote intra-regional integration in Latin America and Caribbean via definite actions and policy recommendations. Within such a diverse region, it is crucial to have effective and efficient integration policies to overcome various obstacles that may hamper the region’s full potential. Synchronous and harmonious integration policies among countries in the region will help to promote the flow of goods and services that will subsequently foster economic growth and reduce inequality to name a few.
