Launch of the Third Edition of the Latin American Artificial Intelligence Index (ILIA 2025)
On October 3, 2025, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and Chile’s National Center for Artificial Intelligence (CENIA) will present in Santiago, Chile, the third edition of the Latin American Artificial Intelligence Index (ILIA 2025), a pioneering effort to systematically measure the level of preparedness, adoption, and governance of artificial intelligence (AI) in 19 countries of the region.Prepared with the support of the European Union–Latin America and the Caribbean Digital Alliance (EU–LAC) project and various academic, public, and private organizations, ILIA 2025 is a strategic tool to guide public policies, disseminate good practices, and promote regional cooperation on the use of AI as a driver of productive development, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
