(Nassau/Santiago, 5 June 2025) The Honourable Prime Minister Philip Edward Davis KC, MP announced today the accession of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to the Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean (“Escazú Agreement”).
The Bahamas is the ninth CARICOM Member State to become a Party to such treaty and the 18th in the region, reinforcing its climate leadership and strong support to environmental multilateralism.

(Nassau/Santiago, 5 de junio de 2025) El Primer Ministro Philip Edward Davis, KC, MP, anunció hoy la adhesión de la Mancomunidad de las Bahamas al Acuerdo Regional sobre el Acceso a la Información, la Participación Pública y el Acceso a la Justicia en Asuntos Ambientales en América Latina y el Caribe (“Acuerdo de Escazú”).
