For over 73 years, ECLAC has maintained its permanent commitment to the sustainable development of Latin America and the Caribbean. As a Regional Commission at the service of its 46 member states and 14 associate members, our main mandate is to act as a think tank on development, integrating the three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental), to serve as a platform for dialogue, regulatory development and regional consensus and to provide technical cooperation to the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Within the framework of accountability and transparency promoted by the United Nations, the Report on the activities of the Commission 2020 presents, in a synthetic and graphic way, the main achievements and results of ECLAC during the year, including the work of its subsidiary bodies and intergovernmental meetings, the Commission's support to the countries of the region in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the results achieved in the framework of strategic alliances for development, in close association with bilateral and multilateral partners within and outside the region.
