The purpose of this issue of the Demographic Bulletin is to update the information on fertility published in Demographic Bulletin No. 41 of January 1988. Since that time, 14 population projections have been revised, incorporating new fertility estimates for the period 1950-1990 and modifying the hypotheses concerning trends for the 1990-2025 period
