The objectives of the fifth session of the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean are to present the final version of the Second regional report on the implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development by the Technical Secretariat, to address achievements of the Montevideo Consensus and challenges 30-year after the adoption of the Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), and analyze the progress and challenges in relation to the rights of persons with disabilities within the framework of the population and development agenda. It is anticipated that all ECLAC member States, as well as representatives of the United Nations system and civil society, will participate in the meeting.
Online registration for participants will be available until June 28 through the conference website. Please note that registration is mandatory to participate in the meeting, which will be held in person.
